Ooc:|| Warning strong references to previous site
Bic:|| She was lost... That was just great. Was it a right then a left then a left then a right.... or had she gone straight at that turn? She sat looking around. Rocks... Rocks and more rocks... They all looked the same. She hadn't been a good daughter or a good sister, but one thing she was good at was getting hopelessly lost. She wanted to cry from frustration, but she dared not let herself do this. She was still trying to get home, but this seemed so much further than when she was a pup. Hadn't it only taken a day to reach ThunderClan? Her memory had faded. If Ella ever caught her she was dead, but how far away was she? Every night that passed melded into one long period of time. She hadn't stopped to eat or sleep telling herself it was just over the next hill, it wasn't that far away and she'd be with her mother and father and Kass... Kass would be there too. Her face when she turned and walked away had been horrible. Did she hate her? All she had tried to do was send her home to mummy.
Tears started falling as she found a small alcove, her small body curling up in it. She was lost and alone. She wanted Kassidy, her father, her mother, someone she knew... Just someone. She tucked her head into her fur, trying to shelter herself from the wind that haunted this place. It was cold and sent shivers every time it weaved through her fur. She was alone, it was cold and the storm clouds were rolling in and fast. She wouldn't be surprised if there was a storm on the way; a big one. She hoped to get home before it started, but she was too exhausted now to do anything but sleep. Her eyes began to close as the first drop of rain fell, slowly beginning to soak the land. and her. She was just too tired and although she could have taken shelter in a tunnel or the den she didn't want to get into any trouble. She didn't know whose land this was or even where she was. That was the question though wasn't it? Where... was she?

Mecurio
The stomach of Indus's Alpha growled irritably. He hadn't actually had a proper meal since he got here. Of course, he had the steady income of the occasional rodent but he needed something more... something bigger. Maybe he could call a pack hunt... were there enough of them? They could possibly bring down a young elk or something... were there even elk in Indus? He hadn't really managed to get a look at what kind of prey his pack had. Well... if he got too hungry he still had those rabbits and mice to sustain him.
As the rusty red male paced he didn't really seem to be paying attention as to where he was going. He was just pacing his land... not that there was anything wrong with that. He also hadn't noticed that it had started to drizzle lightly until a large raindrop hit his head. From there on the rain just seemed to get worse and worse. Shaking the rain out of his fur before it really settled in a made him cold he quickened his pace. His bright eyes scanned the area for something the would make a good meal.
Eyes fell on a small alcove. Something just felt strange as he gazed upon it, unable to make out everything clearly. Curiosity got the better of him and he made his way over, body raised and tail lifted dominantly. As soon as he got close enough to see properly he stopped, watching a small figure that was curled in a ball. He recognized it at once. The young pup he had taken care of in thunderclan. Letting out a small gasp he lowered his ears. It was like physical pain to see her so upset, so torn apart. "Tia..." He whispered, taking a small step forward and trying to make use of the little shelter there was here. "Why... how?" He asked, stunned as he placed a paw on the young female's shoulder. Why was everyone coming after him? He had thought himself a bit of a failure... but maybe he wasn't... but then again maybe it was just an accident that she had come here. But it didn't really matter because Mec was glad to see that she was ok.

Tia Badeau
"Tia..."
A voice... Her name... Why did the voice know her name? Was that even her name? Maybe she was just imagining things, but if she wasn't why? She stirred slightly body moving weakly. Her eyes were so heavy and she just wanted to sleep. She let out a quiet moan as her stomach rumbled. She tried again this time slightly more successful as her eyes opened slightly. It was dark and she couldn't find the source of the voice. She settled again trying to find the sleep that had almost overcome her before she had imagined things. "Tia..." the voice rang through her head it echoed over and over. This time it sounded familiar. Why did it sound familiar? Surely... She finally opened her eyes knowing she wouldn't sleep again. Her ears twitched as the sound of steady rain striking the earth. It was going to be wet if she left here now. Looks like she hadn't gotten home before the storm.
"Why... how?"
There is was again although this time she really didn't know if she was imagining things. They were the same questions that rang through her mind. She turned her head slowly, eyes adjusting to the light. Brown, like the earth, white, like the clouds and snow, red... The face defined itself and her memory clicked. It was Mec. What was he doing here? Hadn't he disappeared? Hadn't he left her alone, behind? She dropped her gaze. No doubt she would now get in trouble for running away. "Sorry Mecurio..." she whispered, her voice hoarse and faint. Amber eyes glanced once more at Mecurio. Was this even real or some cruel dream where when she woke up she'd be alone again. She looked at her coat knowing it was dull and un healthy. She hid the emotion for she didn't know what to feel. Scared? Sad? Happy? Excited? Angry? Nothing?
She hadn't answered his question yet either. He wanted to know how and why? What was she meant to say? What was the answer? Was there and answer? She decided to say something at least, other than sorry. "I couldn't find you and Fahlexa wasn't there. There was this new wolf, Ella and... I didn't know anyone so I snuck away. I shouldn't have, but then I got lost... I... Now I'm here..." she muttered not sure if he would punish her or let her stay. She missed her family terribly and she didn't want to be sent back. All the tears she had held in now began to flow, like the rain steadily from the clouds. she began to shiver in the clod, her thin body and fur not dealing with this cool change. She couldn't look at Mecurio any more. What if he hated her? What if he sent her back? Why had he left her? Was she that bad a friend he couldn't stay? Was the reason still there? Would he leave her again?

Mecurio
Mec looked down at the younger female with a worried expression. To see his friend like this was like physical pain, like knifes that poked at his heart. Giving a small sigh, seeing if she would do anything. The alpha hoped she wasn't ill or anything... he didn't know anything about medicine. Biting his lip, he shuffled a little closer, at least trying to keep her warm and dry if nothing else. He noticed her gaze on him before it dropped. An apology quickly followed but Mecurio shook his head. "There's nothing to be sorry for" He said, trying to comfort her. He had never been good in these situations... but he'd try his best to make sure that Tia would be ok. He was just as confused as she seemed to be. He was happy that she was here but horrified that she was in such bad condition.
"I couldn't find you and Fahlexa wasn't there. There was this new wolf, Ella and... I didn't know anyone so I snuck away. I shouldn't have, but then I got lost... I... Now I'm here..."
At the mention of Fahlexa he felt as though an ache had developed in his chest, choking him slowly. He'd have to accept Lexi's death eventually... but she had always been there. He felt that she would always be there to guide him... maybe he'd grown a little too Dependant on her. He needed to take charge of his own life but deep down he knew he'd always need someone there. With Lexi gone and all the reminders of thunderclan coming back... it seemed a little too much for now. Hopefully things would be ok.
"You'll be ok..." He said to her, shifting his position so that he was a little more comfortable and flicking the rain off of his ears. "This is Indus... my pack" He said, looking out over the blankets of rain. When he looked back down he saw tears rolling down the female's cheeks. She was a lot like a sister to him... to see her so upset hurt him. He was unsure what to say to her so for a little while he sat, listening to the pouring rain and the occasional distant rumble of thunder. Then, he forced a smile and gave her a friendly nudge with his paw. "You're welcome to stay here as long as you want..." He paused again, taking a deep breath. "I'm sorry I left you there... we're still friends... right?" Mecurio glanced away, a disappointed look in his face. He was disappointed at himself... he shouldn't have just left. He felt almost cowardly... he wanted to start again... to make everything right. He wouldn't desert his pack this time. And if someone wanted a home here he'd do his best to make the comfortable.

"There's nothing to be sorry for"
But she had run away hadn't she? She had gone against what she was meant to do. She didn't understand that Mecurio had left and it was okay. All she knew was she was caught and she was still a prisoner of war. Wasn't that enough to be sorry for? She closed her eyes gently, her breathing slowing as she rested. She didn't sleep knowing there was still more to say and ask, but she resting was better than nothing. Maybe she would sleep here for a while. He body shivered with the cold that came with the wet. Had she travelled too far south, too far north? She had no idea of direction, but she knew one thing; this wasn't home. It wasn't as warm here as it was ThunderClan, but for all she knew it could just be an unusually cold day today. She was glad Mecurio was here and she snuggled into him as much as she could trying to use him for warmth, but her shivering didn't let up. She opened her eyes a slit letting out a gently whimper. Why was it so cold?
"You'll be ok..."..."This is Indus... my pack"
Be okay? She was probably dead when he returned her back to the alphaess. She choked back tears. How could he lie so openly? Then his next words brought a panicked frenzy in her mind. Indus? pack? wasn't he apart of ThunderClan? Wasn't he meant to be the alpha? Wasn't she meant to be in trouble? It then dawned on her. he had left ThunderClan and he had no intention of returning her there. "So I'm a prisoner of war or a slave here too?" she asked softly, her voice barely louder than a whisper. She knew no position higher than the one that had been given to her. She closed her eyes again letting out a sigh, mainly from the relief knowing she wasn't to be sent back. She was unsure now what to do. Sleep? Rest? Get up to the alpha. He said it was his pack and here she was using him for warmth. She drew away slowly, opening her eyes fully as she tried to stand. her legs shook as she finally stood on them and bowed to the alpha. She had tresspassed on these lands.
"You're welcome to stay here as long as you want..."
She wobbled into a bow taking a few steps back staring at the dirt. She didn't expect him to be so kind. She expected him to leave her again, for him to tell her that she wasn't wanted. He had left her hadn't he? She took another step back, finding herself in the rain. she moved back under the shelter and curled up. "You don't have to let me stay Alpha Mecurio. You must have left for a reason right?" she whispered sitting down before she fell down running a claw through the soft earth. She didn't look up at Mecurio. How could she face him? She didn't even know why he had left or why he hadn't even bothered to say goodbye. She didn't even know he had gone and she spent so much time looking for him, so much time alone. "Why did you leave? Why did you leave me alone without even saying goodbye?" She was crying again and she didn't try to hide it. She wanted an explaination.

Mecurio
With each second that past, Mecurio seemed to feel more like a child who had done something wrong, who was carrying around some sort of disease. He didn't want to cause so much trouble among his friends. He didn't feel like an Alpha at all. Alphas were meant to control the pack, to be a good leader... yet he was struggling to try and make this better. Poor Tia had been through such a lot. He leaned in, trying to keep her warm, make her feel safe. His tail swished against her for extra warmth... he would make everything better... it just needed talking through and a bit of friendship.
"So I'm a prisoner of war or a slave here too?"
At this Mec raised his brows, a little shocked by what she had said. "No, no, no..." He replied quickly, shaking his head from side to side. "Of course you're not. I never wanted you to be a slave. There won't be any war in my pack if I can help it... and you will not be a prisoner here" He felt uncomfortable and guilty as she stood and bowed to him. He felt as though he was forcing her to do this... what he had done was making her like this. He shook his head vigorously again. "Don't...." He whispered between clenched teeth. He felt a shiver down his spine as she stepped away. He didn't want any of this.
"You don't have to let me stay Alpha Mecurio. You must have left for a reason right?"
"I want you to stay. I won't let you stay out her while it's so cold..." He replied, bright green eyes lowering to the ground. He had avoided the last part... he had left for a reason. Whether his reason was a good one or a cowardly one, he was not sure... he didn't want to say. But He knew she wouldn't just leave it at that. Her tears fell to the already wet ground and each one that fell was like a knife in his back.
"Why did you leave? Why did you leave me alone without even saying goodbye?"
He swallowed, trying to find the right words, trying to actually speak. He seemed a little stuck with this. He paused for a moment, looking up with his mouth hanging open. Finally he spoke. "I... I don't know... my mother was dead... another wolf was in charge... everything was going wrong and I didn't know what to do." He stopped, his eyes stinging a little but no tears falling down. "So I ran... I ran away without thinking... I just didn't know what to do" He said quietly, pawed at the ground uselessly. "I'm sorry..." The rusty red male's voice was hardly audible over the rain. Sorry wouldn't be enough... he knew it. He wanted to make things right but he just didn't know what to do about it.

"I... I don't know... my mother was dead... another wolf was in charge... everything was going wrong and I didn't know what to do."
He was hurting and she hadn't taken it into consideration. She dropped her head lower, falling into a deeper submission. He had said don't, but she couldn't help it. She had been doing it for so long and she just felt so guilty. Tears were welling up and she tried to hold them back. She couldn't show the weakness the guilt and so she couldn't even look at him. She stared at the ground not knowing what else to do. What could she say? What could she do? Her head was screaming 'stand up, look at him, stop being so submissive, be his friend,' but her body wasn't responding. She just didn't seem to be able to. Any words she tried to get out were chocked back. They were stuck in her throat, in her chest as the cold stell grip seemed to close down. Soon he began to speak again. She could only listen to the rest of what he had to say, continuing to keep back the tears.
"So I ran... I ran away without thinking... I just didn't know what to do"..."I'm sorry..."
Tia froze looking up. She was crying again, but this time at how she was making Mec feel. He hadn't meant it. He truly hadn't meant to leave her. Shakily she stepped into him and pushed her muzzle into his fur. "I'm sorry... I didn't... C-can I stay here? This is your home... Can this be my home too?" she asked, her voice muffled by the rain and mecurio's soft fur. He was warm as she shivered. Why was she so cold? She was nothing but skin and bones. She stepped back to look at Mec. "Will you take me home?" she whispered. Her home was here now. Her home was here and she hoped she could remain here forever. She wouldn't last if she had to leave again. This was it. She wouldn't make it back to RiverClan or ThunderClan, not in this condition, not ever. She dropped her gaze and then up to Mecurio again. She just wanted to sleep and know she was safe now. Her legs dropped and she slumped on the ground falling asleep where she fell.

Mecurio
Mec determinedly avoided Tia's gaze, a horrible feeling in his stomach. He closed his eyes and clenched his teeth together before eventually looking up at his friend. He leant against her... he just wanted to be there for her. Who knew he'd grow so close to this little female. She almost felt like a sister... someone he needed to take care of. He had always been curious about his family... also very dependent on them. Maybe that's why he grew so close to anyone he loved. His mother... his friends... Aleu. She was just a friend though... wasn't she? He didn't know. Mecurio gave her a small affectionate nuzzle, just wanting to comfort her. He'd introduce her to everyone in his pack at the meeting and he was sure that she would fit in here.
He listened to her and a forced smile came onto his face. "Of course this can be you home."He whispered gently. "This is your home...." He spoke quietly, watching her as she fell to the ground, asleep. He lay himself down next to her and rested his head on her shoulder. His tail curled around her body and he just lay there. He knew he wouldn't be able to sleep... for tonight he'd just be trapped with his own thoughts. But as long as he was looking after Tia. He'd make her an advisor... someone who could tell him what to do when things were going badly and someone who would support him.
