The might need a bit of modifying -pokes Kimera-
Alpha/Alphess - First in command and leaders of the packs. They are usually strong and experienced. All lower ranks must follow their commands. They can accept wolves into the territory
Beta/Betess - Second in command. Lower ranks must follow their commands. They can also accept wolves into their territory. If the Alphas Die, they take charge of the clan unless there is an Alpha heir.
Alpha heirs - They are young wolves, usually the young of the Alphas, that take over once the Alphas are too old or die.
Advisors - Sort of like a wolf council. They usually help make decisions for the Alphas. They are the wisest of the pack and sometimes even 'retired' Alphas.
Guards - These are the strongest wolves, apart from the Alphas, in the pack usually. They are experienced with fighting and defend Alphas and other members as part of their job. If there is a war they are usually fighting along side the Alphas.
Spies - These are sly and crafty wolves. They usually have natural coloured pelts and are extremely agile. When assigned by Alphas and Betas, they go around other packs, finding out their numbers and vital information. Alphas put alot of trust in their spies.
General - Generals are in charge of the army. They are responisble for leading hunts, wars and raids and training the wolves.
Soldiers - These are strong wolves that make up the main army of wolves. The often take part in hunts and wars.
Messengers - They are wolves that usually carry messages from pack to pack. They are not aloud to be killed when delivering a message. They are that fastest wolves of the pack.
Other members - They are just members that make up the pack. They generally help around the pack and help with hunting if the warriors are away.
Apprentices - They are wolves, older than 5 months that are being trained to become a valuable member of the pack.
Pups - They are wolves that have been newly born and are growing up. Once past the age of 5 months they become apprentices.
Omegas - They are the lowest rank in the pack. They even have to take orders from pups. They are usually weak or troublesome. They are there for other wolves to take their anger out on.
Slaves - These are wolves forced to join against their will. They can be loners or enemy pack members that wander into the pack. They can either be freed by the alphas or, after 2 years, automatically freed.
This is the basic structure of the pack. Alphas may add new ranks or change names of current ones if needed.
Cephus Pack ranks
Ranks with the same number of *s before their name are of the same power within the clan.
*Monarch: Leader Male.
*Matriarch: Leader Female.
Scion: Basically the alpha heir.
General (Male/Female): In charge of matters that the alpha cannot attend to due to business.
Healer: Fairly self-explanatory.
Soldiers: Elite fighting force that obey only the word of the alpha.
**Marshal: The brains and the advisor, also in charge of gathering information, thus he is in charge if the spies.
**Captain: In charge of security and the pack’s warrior divisions, he/she is responsible for training and rallying the troops.
Watchers: They are the spies of the pack, the information they gather should be passed to the Marshal, he in turn will sort through it and decide what is important and what is not.
Recruits: the warriors under the command of the Captain.
Corporals: the dirty work guys, they scout, hunt and occasionally guard the territory. They also are the responsibility of the Captain.
Trainees: The apprentices and those being trained for higher ranks than they possess.
Pups: need I say more?
The Rankless: Faes in this rank are expected to breed as queens would, Brutes are little higher than Nameless and must strive for a better rank or be demoted further.
The Nameless: The slaves, the lowly, the prisoners, the insane, the weak, the stupid, the useless, etc. When a wolf is placed in this rank, the alpha thereby claims their right to have a name and they are to be called nothing but 'wolf' until they acheive a higher rank.
